How does Wegether address safety concerns when booking tours and activities?

Your safety is a priority for Wegether. We only work with registered and thoroughly vetted local guides, ensuring that you are in safe, knowledgeable hands during your experiences.

Can I customize the experiences to fit my personal interests and preferences?

Absolutely! Wegether offers a range of customizable experiences that can be tailored to your specific interests, making your trip more personal and memorable.

Getting Started

  • Wegether experiences are activities designed and led by local guides to immerse our guests in the culture and the environment they are visiting.

  • You will find what is included in the experience directly on the experience page. Inclusions are different from an experience to another.

  • Wegether experience should comply with Wegether quality standards. A Wegether experience has to be unique, by showing you places and offering activities that you would not go for by yourself. A Wegether experience is also engaging, allowing you to interact with locals through your host, but also the people who might be sharing the same experience, or simply the people you will meet throughout your experience. Enriching : the guide has to be knowledgable and master his/her subject. We want you to leave the experience with the feeling of achievement, whether you might have discovered new places or learned a new skill. Finally, a Wegether experience is memorable: it's that magical feeling that makes you want to go on your next Wegether experience.

Booking a Wegether experience

  • By opening the Wegether app, go to the experience section. You can browse among the different experiences offered on our app in your desired location, or let the trip builder helps you build your trip from scratch according to your preferences. Make sure before booking an experience to comply with the requirements specified on the experience page.

  • Wegether specificity is the possibility to book and combine different experiences during your stay. Our planification tool, available on the My Trip section, helps you navigate easily between experiences. Even though, our system will notify you when booking overlapping experiences, we do recommend you to double check your schedule.

  • Any specific requirement such as skill level or licence will be listed on the experience page. Besides you must comply with local laws and regulations before booking any experience.

  • Our experiences are children friendly, unless otherwise notified by the host on the experience page. For some experience you and your guests might have to provide an ID.

  • On the experience page, enter: your destination, your dates and your party size. You can then decide to go for a private or a shared experience. Don't hesitate to message your guide to customize your trip. If your party size exceed the limit, you will get an automatic message.

  • You can only book for yourself and the guests you will bring and pay for.

  • If you want to contact guides, send them messages on Wegether. To message a guide, go to the experience page you are interested in, click on contact then message. For your safety and responsibility reasons, we advise you to keep all the communication with your guide on the Wegether platform.

  • If you decide to go for a private experience, you have the possibility to customize it by contacting directly your guide on Wegether. Any price adjustment resulting from the customization has to be approved by both the guide and the guest through Wegether messaging system.

  • Once your experience has been booked and paid for, you will receive an email, in the email address you provided when creating your Wegether account, summarizing the details of your experience or itineraries. You will also be able to view your booked experiences on the Wegether app by going to the Menu list (top right of your screen), select Trips. You will see your current and upcoming trips.

Payment

  • Because we just launched, we are only accepting payment by card. We hope to add more payment methods as we grow.

  • Unfortunately no.

  • If you're trying to make a payment, but the payment is not completed, this may be due to several reasons. Here are some of the reasons why a payment was not completed: Credit card has expired

    Daily withdrawal or purchase limit set by your bank or credit card company

    Billing address and phone number entered do not match the billing address and phone number associated with your credit card

    Fraud prevention

    Credit card doesn’t have available funds to make the payment

    You can also reach out to your bank or credit card company for more information.

  • The cost of the experience is paid by the person who made the booking.

  • Your payment information is collected when you checkout. Once the guide accepts your request, or if you book a reservation with Instant confirmation your payment method will be charged for the entire amount at that time.

  • Never pay for your experience outside of Wegether platform. Paying and communicating through Wegether helps ensure that you're protected under our Terms of Service, Payments Terms of Service, cancellation and refund policies.

  • If your reservation request is declined by the guide or expires, meaning the guide didn’t respond within 24 hours, no charge is made for the reservation and you’re free to book with another guide. Your payment method may be temporarily authorized for a charge when you request booking an experience, but this authorization is voided and released back to the payment method you have selected if your request is declined or expires. We complete a charge only when a reservation request is confirmed.

    We urge our guides to keep their calendars up to date and respond to requests within 24 hours. But, sometimes situations come up that prevent this from happening.

Cancellation and changing policy

  • We currently offer 3 types of cancelation policy:

    • Strict: customer will get full refund if they cancel 14 days before the experience date. 

    • moderate: customer will get full refund if they cancel 7 days before the experience date 

    • flexible: customer will get full refund if they cancel 3 days before the experience date. 

    Exceptional Circumstances:

    In the case of extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events, Wegether will work with you and the guide to either reschedule the experience or offer a refund if rescheduling is not possible.

    No-show Policy:

    If you fail to show up for your booked experience without prior notice, the booking will be non-refundable.

  • If your reservation is canceled by your guide, we'll automatically give you a full refund.

  • Please refer to the cancellation policy of your experience.

  • It can take anywhere from 1 to 15 business days for your refund to appear in your account.
