Learn about the importance of the Yucatán melipona bee, how honey is grown and live a day as beekeeper.

We will leave Mérida early towards Motul to have breakfast with the famous Motuleños eggs, a regional Yucatecan dish, from Doña Evelia at the 20 de Noviembre market.

Transfer from Motul to the Apiario

After a regional breakfast, we will visit an apiary, a natural space considered one of the best living museums of honey, where you can live the experience of being a beekeeper for a day and interact with the bees.

On this interactive tour of the museum, you will live a different experience, where you will learn about the history of bees and the importance of the Melipona bee for the state of Yucatán and for Mexico.

You will be able to enjoy activities such as interaction with stingless bees, a candle workshop with natural wax, tasting of products from the hive, such as propolis and royal jelly, as well as enjoying a tasting of the different types of honey from this endemic bee. As an option, you can learn how to make candles with the wax derived from beehives.

At the end, you will have free time to buy products in the apiary store.
